TOURISM

1. What is Tourism?
Tourism is travel for pleasure or business; also the theory and practice of touring, the business of attracting, accommodating, and entertaining tourists, and the business of operating tours. Tourism may be international, or within the traveller's country. The World Tourism Organization defines tourism more generally, in terms which go "beyond the common perception of tourism as being limited to holiday activity only", as people "traveling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes".

person or company that arranges ticketshotel rooms, etc. forpeople going on holiday or making a journey.

3. Types Place of Stay
  •  Hotel 
The hotel is a business that uses a building or part of a specially prepared building, and everyone can stay, eat, and obtain other services and facilities with payment. Hotel has 2 types of star hotels and non-star hotels based on predetermined requirements.
  • Boutique Hotel
Boutique Hotel is a type of hotel with a number of rooms that are not too much and more devoted to pamper guests who stay. The design of the hotel building is very luxurious and modern with the number of rooms between 10 - 50 rooms so the price is expensive.
  • Resort
Resort is a type of inn built in an area that has beautiful natural scenery such as beach or mountain areas with facilities that emphasize elements of recreation of sports facilities, entertainment, children's playground or shopping place.
  • Cottage (Bungalow)
a small simple house, typically one near a lake or beach.
  • Villa
villa is a fairly large house, especially one that is used for holidays in Mediterranean countries.
  • Inn
Inn is similar to a guesthouse that provides lodging, eating and drinking, as well as other public services, is rented out to people stopping for a while with limited stay period.
  •  Motel
a hotel providing travelers with lodging and free parking facilities,typically a roadside hotel having rooms adjacent to an outside parkingarea or an urban hotel offering parking within the building.
  • Guest House
a small building, separate from a main house or establishment, forthe housing of guests.
  • Home stay
housing accommodations in a home with a family in residence, as fora student or traveler.
  • Hostel
This hostel is a kind of dormitory like a dormitory where one room can be reserved for some people with multiple beds. This hostel is suitable for backpackers or groups that really save budget.
  • Apartement
There are apartments that are rented out for temporary shelter for a number of people in separate units complete with the completeness of a normal residence, such as a kitchen and separate dining room.
  • Camping
a place where an army or other group of persons or an individual islodged in a tent or tents or other temporary means of shelter.
